SHORT BIO
Currently a postdoc researcher at the Advanced Institute for AI in São Paulo, Brazil, Leno is a Doctor on Computer Engineering at the University of São Paulo (USP). He spent one year as a Research Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin in 2018-2019, where he was part of the Learning Agents Research Group (LARG), under the supervision of Prof. Peter Stone. He also interned at Borealis AI, where he did research related to his thesis topic with Prof. Matthew E. Taylor. Leno's works are concerned with several topics of Machine Learning, but he has primarily focused on Transfer Learning for Multiagent Reinforcement Learning. He was involved in the organization of several workshops, including the Adaptive Learning Agents (ALA) Workshop at AAMAS, the Scaling-Up Reinforcement Learning (SURL) Workshop series, and Latinx in IA at NeurIPS.
