Binwei Yao is a gap-year student now. She received her B.Eng. degree from the Department of Software Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 2022. She's working as an intern in X-LANCE Lab of SJTU, co-advised by Prof. Mengyue Wu, Prof. Lu Chen, and Prof. Kai Yu. Her work mainly focuses on the dialogue system for depression diagnosis. She has broad research interests including natural language processing and multi-modality interaction. More specially, she's enthusiastic about research topics that have a positive impact on society such as NLP for Social Good, and topics that try to integrate sociology and psychology to create more informative and empathetic machine learning models. Currently, She's looking for a Ph.D. position in 2023 Fall.
