SHORT BIO
Dr. Sergey Bravyi received Ph.D. in physics from the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics (Moscow) in 2003. His thesis work performed under the supervision of Prof. Alexei Kitaev focused on the problem of fault-tolerant quantum computing. Sergey spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Caltech in the group of Prof. John Preskill working on topological quantum computing and various problems in quantum information theory. Sergey joined IBM Quantum Computing group in 2006. His research interests include quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and computational complexity theory.
