McKenzie Maloney is a 3rd-year medical student at the Medical College of Georgia, who is pursuing a career in dermatology. Her research pursuits encompass the intersection of social determinants of health and skin conditions, with a particular focus on the representation of skin diseases in individuals with skin of color.
McKenzie's dedication to addressing health disparities is evident through her ongoing projects, including investigations into Social Determinants of Health in Skin Cancer, Atopic Dermatitis in Skin of Color, and Medical Student Mentorship for Underrepresented Students in Medicine. She is also involved in initiatives exploring the impact of Early Clinical Exposure on Cultural Humility, among several other endeavors.
A proud graduate of the University of Georgia in 2021, McKenzie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology. During her undergraduate years, she excelled not only academically but also as a member of the NCAA D1 Equestrian Team, showcasing her versatility and commitment to excellence.
