SHORT BIO
Ian Motie, M.D. is an internal medicine resident physician at the FSU College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. His primary interests include providing care to underserved communities, advocacy, and social justice. Dr. Motie graduated from the Florida State University College of Medicine in 2021 where he was awarded the Linda C. Stine Interprofessional Leadership Award. During his time in medical school, he became greatly involved with the Florida Medical Association and the American Medical Association serving multiple roles in both local and national leadership. He currently serves on the national Council of Resident/Fellow Members for the American College of Physicians where he also sits on the Volunteerism Committee. He additionally serves as the Chair of the AMA RFS Committee on Public Health. Dr. Motie aims to continue his development as a young physician by engaging with his community, building collaborative efforts with his colleagues, and working towards a better tomorrow.
