Michael is a second-year medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch John Sealy School of Medicine. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020 then took a gap-year to spend more time with his family and friends before beginning medical school in 2021. Given his interest in dermatology, Michael is involved in various related extracurricular activities including the dermatology interest group at his school, a free student-lead clinic that provides skin care for low-income communities, dermatology research, and philanthropic events that serve to support those affected by melanoma and raise money for melanoma research.
