SHORT BIO
Nitin has worked for 8 years in the Mauritian Education sector after graduating with a PhD in Mathematical Physics, which he pursued as a DAAD scholar at the University of Cape Town, the Arnold Sommerfeld Centre for Theoretical Physics (LMU, Germany), and the Max Planck Institute for Physics. He also completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Education (Assessment) as a Chevening scholar at the University College London (UCL) Institute of Education (United Kingdom). He holds a MSc degree in Theoretical & Mathematical Physics from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich as a State of Mauritius scholar, completed a Master-1 in Mathematics at École Normale Supérieure (Paris) as a French Government Scholar, and obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Melbourne as a Melbourne University international scholar. Nitin's research interests are in theoretical physics and physics and mathematics education, with a particular focus on educational assessment. He is currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in theoretical physics at the University of Mauritius.
