SHORT BIO
I have been in education for 12 years, and have spent the last 10 years teaching physics (AP and on-level) in the Rogers School District in Northwest Arkansas. In that time, I took a brief, one-year leave from the classroom to serve as an instructional coach for my school before heading back to the classroom. I am a 2017 recipient of the PhysTEC Noyce Teacher of the Year, as well as a PAEMST winner in the same year. I am founder and President of STEMteachersNWA, and also serve as the High School Director for Arkansas Science Teachers Association (the state chapter of NSTA). I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with my area of emphasis in Science Education/Physics Education, with the goal of working in Physics Education Research.
