SHORT BIO

Shubham Kumar Nigam is a seasoned Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, India. With a strong focus on legal data analytics, he specializes in leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval (IR) techniques to enhance the legal domain. Prior to his tenure at IIT Kanpur, he contributed his expertise as a project assistant at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) under the Ministry of Defence in India.

Shubham Kumar Nigam is an esteemed member of the Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Law (SAIL) organization committee, actively contributing to the advancement of this field. Additionally, he enthusiastically participates in various shared tasks and competitions related to legal information extraction and entailment, including COLIEE and SemEval. His groundbreaking research has been featured at prestigious conferences such as ACL 2021, JURISIN 2022, SemEval 2022, and NLLP 2022.
