SHORT BIO

Dr. Joseph McDonald is a postdoctoral associate with the Lincoln Laboratory Supercomputing Center working on deep learning and artificial intelligence applications with supercomputing. He received a Ph.D. in mathematics from New York University and a B.S. in mathematics and physics from Washington and Lee University. His doctoral research focused on optimization and mathematical theory for signal processing, exploring problems in deconvolution and super-resolution related to compressed sensing. His recent work at LLSC has focused on topics in natural language processing and applications with high performance computing. Prior to joining MIT Lincoln Laboratory he worked as a scientist and software engineer for multiple startups.
