SHORT BIO
Catherine Han is a second year PhD student at Stanford University working with Professor Zakir Durumeric and the Empirical Security Research Group. She is broadly interested in the intersection of security, human-computer interaction, and policy. Her current projects focus on better understanding and developing tools to mitigate various flavors of online abuse, like hate and harassment and misinformation. She is supported by the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program. Previously, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, where she worked with Dr. Serge Egelman at the International Computer Science Institute.
