SHORT BIO
🚀 Work My official name is Jamin Shin. I'm a Research Scientist at Riiid leading the NLP Research Team. Previously I have worked as a research intern in Amazon Alexa and Naver Clova.
🎓 Education I obtained my M.Phil degree in Electronic & Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), as a member of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAiRE). I also got my Bachelors in Computer Science at HKUST.
💡 Research Interests My current research interests are on modeling conversations, guiding Pre-trained Language Models, applying NLP for education, and using AI ethically & safely. At Riiid, I have hosted and organized a workshop on Imagining Post-COVID Education with AI. I am also serving as program committee and reviewer for ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, and CHI.
