SHORT BIO
Dr. Capece is an experimental physicist specializing in the interactions that occur at the plasma-materials interface. She earned her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a PhD in Aeronautics with a minor in Physics from the California Institute of Technology where she conducted research on tungsten cathodes for electric thrusters in collaboration with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Following her graduate work, she held a postdoctoral position at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. In 2015, Dr. Capece joined the faculty at The College of New Jersey as an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department.
