Relevant Experience Dr. Eric Theisen is the Director of Research and Development at Metglas Inc. and is responsible for commercializing new products in the field of rapidly quenched, amorphous and nanocrystalline materials with ten international patents in the field. He is a member of multiple professional societies including the Minerals Metals and Materials Society where he serves on the Magnetic Materials committee and as the industrial advisor to the Functional Materials Division. He received the Henry Marion Howe Medal for Paper of Highest Merit published in Metallurgical and Materials Transactions 2007 during his PhD studies and received the Hitachi President’s Award for New Product Development 2012: Amorphous Alloy for High Performance Transformer early in his industrial career. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering Department at Cornell University and has co-advised three PhD students. He also received an MBA from the University of South Carolina in 2019.
