SHORT BIO
Andrew is a research staff member and manager of the theory of quantum computing and information group at IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center. He is the author of the Quantum Assembly (QASM) language and the Qiskit compiler for cloud access to IBM quantum machines, and the expert in quantum error correction. He has a longstanding interest in quantum error-correction and fault-tolerant architectures for quantum computers, as well as validation and control of superconducting qubits, and software for synthesis, optimization, and simulation of quantum circuits.
