Jisun An is an assistant professor at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University (SMU-SCIS). Before joining SMU-SCIS, she worked Qatar Computing Research Institute, HBKU as a scientist. She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) in 2015. Her work focuses on computational social science and journalism. Her recent focus has been on detecting bias and framing in news and social media. She has been a member of the program committee of major computer science conferences, including WWW 2016-21 and ICWSM 2012-21, ACL 2019-21.
