SHORT BIO
Lei Shu is an Applied Scientist at Amazon AWS AI. Previously, she worked in Amazon Alexa AI. In 2020, she received her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago under Prof. Bing Liu's supervision. She works with her advisor on sentiment analysis and lifelong learning. She also collaborates with Dr. Piero Molino (Stanford University) and Dr. Gokhan Tur (Amazon Alexa AI) on Conversational AI, NLU/NLG research. She closely works with Hu Xu (FAIR) on representation learning (language modeling, word embedding), open-world learning, meta-learning, and question answering.
