SHORT BIO

I'm a fifth year PhD student of Language Technologies in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, and I'm fortunate to be advised by Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick. I completed my Master of Science and Engineering in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and Bachelor of Science in Applied Math and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University, where I worked under Jason Eisner of the Center for Language and Speech Processing.

My primary focus is solving problems in the space of natural language processing using novel machine learning models, of graphical and/or neural varieties. I'm especially interested in finding new ways to learn hidden structure and latent features from shallow surface-level information.
