SHORT BIO
Roxanne Holly Padley is PhD doctoral researcher in Linguistic Studies at the University of Salerno, lecturer in English for specific purposes at the University of Sassari, professional translator and interpreter. Her research interests include English for specific purposes (technical and scientific/medical English), sociolinguistics and corpus-based discourse analysis. Her PhD research project is entitled A Comparative Socio-linguistic Study of Medical Communication in Cosmetic Surgery Interaction: A Corpus Based Analysis. She has published internationally on topics related to healthcare communication, English language learning and translation within the scientific field. She has also presented her work in several international conferences.
