SHORT BIO
I am employed as European Marine Officer for Europe & Central Asia in BirdLife International. My main areas of work are related with bycatch, offshore energy and marine Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (mIBAs). I am working on a variety of projects on those topics with a wide geographical range, from the Mediterranean (Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey) to the North and Baltic Seas. I also support the team in relevant marine conservation work, providing assistance to partners in the design and implementation of projects that target seabird conservation in Europe and the reduction of their major threats, mainly bycatch and invasive alien species. I have worked for Birdlife partners in Malta, Portugal and Spain in the past in several conservation projects, mainly related to seabirds, raptors and promotion of Natura 2000 sites.
