SHORT BIO

Erin Clitheroe is an honorary research fellow in Environmental and Conservation Sciences and the Centre for Aquatic Ecosystems at Murdoch University. She graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Conservation Biology and began her research career investigating habitat use of black cockatoo species in South-Western Australian Forests. Erin’s post graduate study investigated the use and microclimate conditions of nesting habitat of little penguins, seeking to identify implications of terrestrial climate change for this species. Since completion, she has continued her research and involvement in management of Western Australia's little penguins. Erin’s key research interests are in climate change and seabird ecology and island restoration. She is strongly motivated to deliver research that has significant applied benefits that inform conservation policy and management.
