My name is Sofia Locchi and I am a PhD student at the University of Milano Bicocca. I was born in Genoa where I started my studies until the Master degree, after that I decided to move to Milan and to go further with my studies in Structural Geology, which is my favourite branch of Earth Sciences. I always have been fascinated by the architecture of the Alps and by their geologic evolution: in the Orobic Alps, I found the perfect environment to satisfy my curiosity and to investigate the role played by Permian structures during the Alpine compression.
