SHORT BIO

My name is Jennifer Wilkinson. I am currently in my second year as a PhD candidate at the University of Waterloo under the supervision of Dr. Michaela Devries-Aboud. My current project revolves around understanding the effect of sex and exercise on glycaemic control in skeletal muscle. Outside of academia, I am a group fitness instructor who loves to share my passion for research and scientifically sound kinesthetic movements with my group fitness participants. As both an academic and an instructor for the general public, I have experienced the importance of proper knowledge transfer in a fun, friendly, and approachable way.
