SHORT BIO
Miss Latia Jackson is from South Chesterfield, Virginia and has always had a passion for environmental science. Miss Jackson recently graduated with her Master’s in Interdisciplinary Science from Virginia State University (VSU) in the Spring 2021. Currently, she is working as a teaching assistant, under Dr. Shobha Sriharan in the Department of Agriculture at VSU, alongside Mr. Jarell Hines and Miss Jenille Jade Llorico. After two years of working, Miss Jackson plans to pursue doctoral degree in natural resources to enable her to pursue research on climate studies with reference to social justice. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, hiking on nature trails, biking, and computer animation.
