SHORT BIO
Brenda Skoczelas graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Physics. She has taught math and physical science courses at the high school and post-secondary levels since 2008. After 12 years of teaching, she is still excited every semester for a new group of students to share in her enthusiasm for physics. Brenda became an Assistant Professor at Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana before joining the Natural Science Department at Lake-Sumter State College in central Florida. Her teaching experiences have included face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online courses. Brenda is an active member of the Association for Florida Colleges (AFC) and was named the 2018 AFC Florida Professor of the Year.
