I have a PhD in Condensed Matter from University of Bayreuth (Germany). Later I worked as a research associate at Rutgers University, in the Physics Education Research group of Prof. Eugenia Etkina and Prof. Alan Van Heuvelen. I have participated in developing and testing reliability of coding scheme to evaluate students’ physics understanding, students’ activities and students’ attitudes towards laboratory course. I have developed a new laboratory courses changing traditional labs into inquiry-based design physics labs at Occidental College, CSU East Bay, Diablo Valley College, Saint Mary’s College and Glendale Community College. At present I work as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Saint Mary’s College, teaching upper-division physics classes and introductory physics classes.
