Zhihong Shen is a principal data science manager at Microsoft Redmond and holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Southern California. For the past seven years, she works as the lead data scientist first, then the data science manager for the Microsoft Academic project, to leverages the cognitive power of machines to assist humans in scientific research. Her experience includes data mining, natural language processing, business intelligence solutions for various web services, and large-scale optimization applications in the supply chain management domain.
