Emily Neer is a third-year developmental psychology PhD student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) working with Dr. Catherine Sandhofer. Her research focuses on the mechanisms young children use to develop language and cognition and how these mechanisms are supported by the social environment in which children are embedded. Specifically, she is interested in how caregivers support children’s learning in informal learning environments.
