SHORT BIO
J. Burkart is a professor at the Department of Anthropology of the University of Zurich. She leads the Evolutionary Cognition Group and is interested in the cognitive evolution of primates. A main focus of the group concerns the role of systematic allomaternal care, present in callitrichid monkeys and humans, in the evolution of social, motivational, and cognitive processes.
