SHORT BIO
Daeyeol Lee received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his postdocotral training at the University of Minnesota. He had held faculty positions at Wake Forest University, University of Rochester, and Yale University before joining the faculty as the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University in 2019. His research focuses on the neural mechanisms of planning and decision making. He published a book titled "Birth of Intelligence: from RNA to artificial intelligence (2020, Oxford Univ Press), and received the Samsung Hoam Prize for Medicine in 2021.
