Chiu-Chou Lin earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree in computer science from National Chiao Tung University in 2017 and started his master's degree in multimedia engineering at the same university. After one year of studying in the graduate program, he applied for direct admission to a doctoral program to further investigate AI research in the video game domain. His major research domain is developing learning-based video game AI in general cases, especially for a commercial game. He has led the video game research group in the NCTU CGI lab for three years. He has helped three company cooperation projects develop video game AI, including Ubitus, Gamesofa, and Gamania. The total value of these projects is over 10 million TWD. One U.S. patent is pending with Ubitus, in which Chiu-Chou is the first author. Chiu-Chou now focuses on two research-related tasks; one is measuring playstyle in a video game. Another is developing a video game AI reinforcement learning framework to improve his lab's research.
