SHORT BIO
Vedrana Šlipogor, PhD, is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Science, Department of Zoology, in Budweis, Czech Republic, working on animal personality and its links with learning in captive and wild common marmosets, and several other species of non-human primates, ungulates and rodents. Dr. Šlipogor obtained her bachelor’s and master's degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, conducted several research internships in France and Austria, including two field seasons in Brazil. Dr. Šlipogor completed her doctoral dissertation in Biology at the University of Vienna, Austria, under guidance of Prof. Dr. Thomas Bugnyar, and continued her first postdoctoral fellowship at the same university. Shortly before translocating to Czech Republic for her second postdoctoral position, Dr. Šlipogor acted as a guest professor at the University of Vienna, teaching courses in Animal Social Cognition and Current Topics in Cognitive Biology. For her research, Dr. Šlipogor was awarded with several fellowships and grants, including Ernst Mach Grant Worldwide, Uni:Docs and KWA Fellowships, Förderungsstipendium, Dissertation Completion Fellowship, and a prestigious L'ORÉAL-UNESCO Fellowship "For Women in Science".
