SHORT BIO
My name is Mia Radovanovic and I'm a PhD student working with Dr. Jessica Sommerville. My work seeks to understand the interplay of independent problem-solving and social learning across varying levels of social power. My work with infants starts from the assumption that decreased engagement is often reasonable, looking to identify these circumstances and working to find means to extend persistence through rational pathways (e.g., exploration). I also have a line of work with older children investigating how children respond to incorrect teaching and teacher authority. Together, I hope to elaborate nuances in children's active learning experiences.
