SHORT BIO
Desmond is an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, where he leads the Computational Affective and Social Cognition lab. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Stanford University in 2017. He's interested in how people understand the emotions of those around them, and uses a variety of experimental approaches as well as computational modelling. Prior to joining UT, Desmond was at the National University of Singapore.
