SHORT BIO

K. Funakoshi received his Dr. Eng. degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and is currently an associate professor at the Institute of Innovation Research, Tokyo Institute of Technology. Formerly with Honda Research Institute Japan Co., Ltd., he has served as a program-specific associate professor with the Cooperative Intelligence Joint Chair at Kyoto University since 2017. His research interests include natural language processing, particularly computational linguistics, multi-modal dialogue systems, and human-machine interaction.
