SHORT BIO
Viviana Mascardi is Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Genova (UNIGE), Italy, DIBRIS (Dipartimento di Informatica, Bioingegneria, Robotica e Ingegneria dei Sistemi). She graduated cum laude at the University of Genova in 1996 and she got her PhD in Computer Science from the same University in 2002. Her research interests include modeling, verification, rapid prototyping, and development of platforms for complex and distributed systems (Multi-agent Systems, MASs), mainly based on computational logic and declarative agent languages and technologies; ontologies; interplay between MAS, ontologies, and Augmented/Virtual Reality, argumentation; multilingual semantic interoperability. She is the chair of the European Association for Multi-agent Systems (EURAMAS) since April 2022. She was program co-chair of AIxIA 2021 and program co-chair of AAMAS 2022, the 21st International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems. She published more than 20 papers in National and International Journals including top ranked journals like JAAMAS, TOSEM, IEEE TKDE and more than 100 papers in International Book Chapters, International Conferences Proceedings and Italian Conferences Proceedings. She served as PC Member in more than 100 editions of a wide range of National and International Conferences, including editions of IJCAI, AAMAS, AAAI, ECAI, ICLP.
