SHORT BIO

Dr. Joon-Seok Kim is a postdoctoral fellow at the Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers at Northwestern University (NU-MRSEC). Dr. Kim received M.S.E. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, and B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Kim's research interests are related to experimentally exploring emerging low-dimensional materials' properties and implementing them into novel devices. He is currently working on two-dimensional (2D) materials-based heterostructures that perform novel functionalities, such as non-volatility and optical modulation.
