SHORT BIO

Roy Bar-Haim is a senior research scientist and project lead at IBM Research - Haifa. Since joining IBM in 2013, Roy has been working on debating technologies, as part of Project Debater. More recently, he has been co-leading a project leveraging AI and language technologies for cloud compliance. Before joining IBM, he led NLP teams in several startup companies (2010-2013). Roy holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University (2010). Together with his colleagues, he presented tutorials on debating technologies in AACL-IJCNLP 2020, ACL-IJCNLP 2021 and IJCAI 2021.
