SHORT BIO
Zara Maxwell-Smith is an Indonesian teacher interested in how language technologies can accelerate and inform language teaching and intercultural understanding. Zara’s research uses Natural Language Processing methods and tools to look at teachers' speech and in particular look at how variation is negotiated by teachers with their students. She currently teaches at the ANU and in the Australian schooling system.
