Sven Ubik received his MSc and Dr degrees in Computer Science from Czech Technical Univer sity in 1990 and 1998, respectively. He is now with the Research and development department of CESNET, leading a research group on Technologies for network applications. His research interests include low-latency video transmissions, programmable hardware, digital cultural heritage, and connecting the world of computer networks with other fields.
