Abstract: Short-term memory (STM) is a fundamental cognitive ability allowing individuals to store and recall small amounts of information for brief periods. Although STM plays a critical role in everyday cognitive tasks, gender differences in its performance remain underexplored. This study investigates the influence of gender on short-term memory performance in healthy individuals aged 15-20 years. A total of 130 participants (65 males, 65 females) were tested. The results revealed that females outperformed males, with an average recall score of 97% for females compared to 85% for males. These findings suggest that gender may influence short-term memory performance, offering new insights into cognitive gender differences.
