Lichenoid Dermatitis Heralding Myelodysplastic Syndrome
Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a hematological disease manifesting as ineffective or nonfunctional hematopoiesis. It is characterized by a triad of cytopenia, morphologic dysplasia, and genetic evidence of clonality. Cutaneous manifestations have been associated with MDS in large numbers. We present a case of a MDS diagnosed through initial presentation as a lichenoid dermatitis.
