AEiC 2021 - 25th Ada-Europe International Conference on Reliable Software Technologies
Welcome Message from our Co-Chairs
Through this message, we want to give you our warmest welcome to the 25th Ada-Europe International Conference on Reliable Software Technologies (AEiC 2021). The special circumstances we all go through have made the conference a virtual event. Nonetheless, this will allow us to take advantage of the benefits of this format by using the Underline.io platform that allows remote participation of speakers and attendees and a virtual exhibition. The platform will also provide a virtual space through Gather.Town to facilitate social interaction among participants, which, in addition to presenting state of the art research results, is one of the most important goals of a conference. This platform will hold various social events together with breaks and a poster session.
The conference schedule includes a four-day program and exhibition from Monday to Thursday, with parallel tutorials on Monday, and keynotes, technical sessions and a Work-in-Progress session on the remaining three days. The technical sessions include the presentations of 13 journal-track papers, 5 industrial presentations and 6 invited talks on leading topics on reliable software technologies. The program will be completed with three outstanding keynotes that will delight the participants.
The main conference activities will be from 13:00 to 18:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST) to allow participants from America to Central Asia to attend to the conference sessions. Virtual social events are scheduled at the beginning and the end of each day. We encourage you to participate in these activities as well as visiting the exhibition. We look forward to meeting you virtually in June 2021!

Final conference day
When the conference is in-person, the early session in the day usually has a slow start, as people crawl into the meeting room a bit late from the large dinner and party the night before. This time everything is different but anyhow we will enjoy a very interesting day.
Today’s keynote by Tucker Taft will enlighten us on the upcoming and long-awaited Ada 2022 release. We will also have three technical sessions on “Validation and verification tools”, “Emerging applications with reliability requirements” and “Safety challenges”.
As usual, don’t miss the opportunities to meet your colleagues and visit the exhibition in Gather Town. After the last break, stay in Gather Town for the announcement of the Best Presentation Award, the closing ceremony and the farewell party, where the solutions to John Barnes’ puzzles will be unveiled.

Highlights of Wednesday
After surviving a global Internet outage yesterday with little damage, today we will have another challenging day at the conference.
We are looking forward to Alfons Crespo’s keynote on using hypervisors for mixed criticality systems.
We also have technical sessions on “Autonomous systems” and “Ada issues and Ravenscar”.
In addition, as a premiere in this conference we have a Work-in-Progress session with very short presentations in the main stage, followed by a poster session in Gather Town.
Don't miss the exhibition during the breaks. At the end of the sessions, we will enjoy another thematic social event. This time, we ask you to come prepared with a few pictures of a regional festival that you know. During the event, we will enjoy the traditional jokes and puzzles by John Barnes.
