Interdisciplinary study of cultural change and diversity

We are a highly interdisciplinary group of researchers using evolutionary models to study cultural change and diversity. We apply cultural evolutionary methods to a wide variety of topics including cognition, innovation, social learning, technology, art, music, narrative, religion, sociality, language and communication. We have a growing interest in applying cultural evolutionary theory to current societal challenges such as understanding the spread of prosocial health behaviours and health conspiracies.

Themed Discussion Proposals and Voting NOW LIVE!

Please take a moment to propose a topic, or vote for those already suggested, for the Themed Discussion sessions which take place on the last day of the conference. These are intended to replicate, and make more inclusive, the valuable discussions that often happen outside of conference hours.

For further information and to propose or vote go to https://ces2024.webspace.durham.ac.uk/2024/09/02/themed-discussion-proposals-and-voting-now-live/.

Proposals and voting end at 3:15pm on Tuesday so we may determine the most popular themes and allocate them to rooms for Wednesday.
The discussions will be hybrid (online folk can join in) but not recorded to allow for informality.
