SHORT BIO
Jennifer Arnold is a Professor of Biology at Penn State. Jennifer’s research uses field experimentation, modeling techniques, and physiological approaches to tackle issues in evolutionary ecology and population biology. Her work addresses the impacts of anthropogenic activities on populations of long-lived waterbirds, such as terns, gulls and albatrosses. She has 28 years of experience studying the life history, demography and behavior of Common Terns in both fresh and saltwater environments. Her recent work focuses on understanding the unique ecology and evolution of declining populations of inland Common Terns in North America, elucidating factors driving their decline and developing management solutions.
