SHORT BIO
MSc Dinis Moreira obtained the degree of Master in Bioengineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto in 2015. During the Master, he has worked in signal processing and pattern recognition projects. Particularly in the Erasmus internship, he studied the relationship between tremor presence/absence and brain activity in Parkinson Disease and Essential Tremor subjects, developed in the Biomedical Signals and System department, of the University of Twente, Netherlands. During his master thesis he developed a mobile vibration-based classification system for identification of knee osteoarthritis, developed in Fraunhofer AICOS. Since 2015 he is a researcher at AICOS research center from the Association Fraunhofer Portugal Research in the areas of fall prevention and human movement characterization. His main research ares are related to Biomedical Instrumentation, Human Movement Analysis, Signal Processing, Sensor Fusion and Machine Learning.
